A little Challenge to you from me & Whiff of Joy!:)

We in Whiff of Joy LOVE our designers. And now the faboulous Alison Acton and her husband Jim are expecting their first baby (a boy already named Sam) next Friday (16th).

We love to flood her and her husband with cards to honour this special event and to show her our appreciation.

So the challenge to you is to make her a "Welcome little Baby" card. Then send me an e-mail (cstoen@hotmail.com), and I will send you her address:) Then you can post your card in your blog. Then link your post to this posting:)

And there is a prize!! I will draw one winner randomly.

Papers: Bazzill, green and red (maraschino).
Patterned Paper: 3ndy Papir
Colouring: Distress Ink, refillers.
Punch: McGill - pine.
Embellishments: Napkin, a christmas bell, red half pearl from KaiserCrafts.
Flowers: Roses from Wild Orchid Crafts, flowers from Prima.
Techniques: Sewing with sewing machine, distressing edges with Tim Holtz distressing tool.
Other: Adding brown colour to the edges with ColorBox~Toffee, Chestnut Roan; Crackle Paint - picket fence.

Birthday folder #2

You were all right, more pupils wanted to have drawings for their birthday!:) Here is Malene's folder for all the wonderful drawings from her classmates. I will also partisipate in Ett Trykk's monthly challenge which is Tid~Time.

I asked Malene about her favourite colour, and she told me it was green. So then I made her a green Tilda:) I have used a Magnolia stamp called Tulip Tilda from the Easter collection. She is coloured with Distress Ink. I have added some stickles, star dust, to the tulips.
The swirl stamp is from Rhonna Farrer, and the round stamp is from Ett Trykk/Norsk Stempelblad.
On the back I have used my personal stamp from Scrapmagasinet. The date stamp is also from Ett Trykk/Norsk Stempelblad.

The frames I have put on the photos are made by Xtina.

Whiff of Joy Challenge#13 Sketch by Heather

Heather made a wonderful sketch for the Whiff of Joy Challenge this week. I made a card with the fun & cute sheep Molly from Whiff of Joy. For my colouring I started with the blue (Faded Jeans) and then a layer with brown (Walnut Stain). It gave the sheep a greenish look:) Which fited the papers from Maja Design perfectly. All colouring is Distress Ink refillers.
I had to use a Norwgian sentiment, this time from Papirloftet. The swirls are from Rhonna Farrer.
I have also added some glitter to Molly. Here is Heather's wonderful sketch:

A Spoon Full of Sugar #33

Finally a new challenge with A Spoon Full of Sugar!!:)

Denne uken er det Nikki som har laget en flott skisse til utfordringen.

Jeg har laget et kort med et av favorittstemplene mine, Willow with cookies fra Whiff of Joy.

Jeg har fargelagt med Distresser igjen:) Og de vakre blomstene er fra Papirloftet. Jeg er så glad for at jeg kan være med og støtte regnskogfondet ved å kjøpe disse blomstene.
Rammen til motivet og rundt er fra Spellbinders. Og teksten er også fra WoJ, og er punchet ut med en ny punch fra Stampin' Up. Jeg fikk meg symaskin til jul, og her har jeg gjort et forsøk på å sy rundt kanten. Jeg rufset først til kanten med skarpe kanter, så sydde jeg mønsterarket fast til panelet. Bordepunchen jeg har brukt er ifra Martha Stewart.
Vi har også en gjestedesigner i bloggen denne uken, fra Norge. Det var jeg som skulle få velge GD for denne utfordringen, så da spurte jeg Nina om hun kunne tenke seg det. Og det var veldig hyggelig at hun ville det. Hun maler så vakkert i varme og gode farger.
Videre framover skal hver av oss i DT'et velge en ny GD for hver uke, så det blir spennede å se hvem som kommer innom;)

Here comes my card for the first Sketch Challenge in StampArtic. This month we have the fantastic Turid Mari as a GD. And she has made a wonderful sketch, and a very fun folder tecnique to work with.

I have used my DT-stamps from Whiff of Joy, the fun and very cute Party Animals which will be released the 3.rd of January.

But the Whiff of Joy release party for the new Party Animal collection will be held on Friday, Jan. 2nd, 11pm GMT+1 (5pm EST) at the WoJ group on Papercraft Planet. So join the party!!:)

StampARTic Challenge #2

Utfordringen hos Stampartic denne gangen er å lage et kort uten mønsterark! Jeg har stemplet mye på kortet mitt. Hovedmotivet er Herb fra Whiff of Joy, og teksten er også fra WoJ. Bordene rundt, snøkrystallene og blomstene er laget med stempler fra Stempelglede. Under ser du blomsten:
Jeg har brukt maskeringsteknikken på Herb og "Glade Jul" teksten. Etter inspirasjon fra Anita sin artikkel i Ett Trykk.

A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge 26 ~ Blooming Marvelous

I am on a Christmas-card roll here now, so I made this one for A Spoon Full of Sugar's challenge this week. You shall add flowers. Since flower is the theme I made it a bit big. Under has the flower dissapeared, because it is on the opening..:)
The image is coloured with Distress Ink. I've used some hours on this one!! Under you can see that I've added an old bookpaper under the image (an idea I got from Jorunn).
The flowers are from Prima, and the beautiful round gold embelishment I got from Camilla. The gold hearts are from Unik Hobby.
And the tree is ofcourse from Whiff of Joy!

FRIDAY SKETCHERS ~28~ MUMUR

Here is my card for the Friday Sketchers this week. They had a lovely sketch made by my friend Mumur!!
These two girls are decorating the tree. I made one blue and one red (with Distress Ink), and did the same with the papers from 3ndy papir (used the red & blue). The round post-stamp is also from Magnolia.

The flower is from Prima, and the leafs are punched out from my Pine Needle Punch.

A Spoon Full of Sugar *25*

This week at a Spoon Full of Sugar you are going to make card for kids. I have made a girlie card.

Since there is no light outside when I get home from work these days, I had to bring the card and my camera to work yesterday!! And took some photos of it to give it the right colours:) So therefor this looks a bit different than my other cards, I had no white bazzill to put behind the card. So here it stands in the window in one of the meetingrooms at school:)
On the edges of the little Hanglar-girl I have used a stamp from my Grunge collection from Stempelglede.
The letters Hurr@ are Thickers from American Crafts. And the sentiments are from Melissa Frances. The "Gratulerer"-text is printed out. Under you can see when it opens. I have made a lock with the Word Window Punch.

The girl is coloured with Distress Ink.

Teenage Lizzie is visiting Sukkersøtt!:)

Anita hos Sukkersøtt har laget en flott og inspirerende skisse denne uken! Jeg har her tenårings Lizzie, fra de nye WoJ-stemplene. Hun er fargelagt med Distress, og jeg har litt glitter rundt kantene.

Anita at Sukkersøtt has made a great and inspireing sketch this week. I have used Teenage Lizzie, from the new WoJ-stamps. She is coloured with Distress, and I have added som stickles on the edges.

De tre hullene i arket har jeg laget litt bakvendt. Jeg punchet dem ut og la et gammelt bokark under. Så laget jeg rammer til hver hull. Og pyntet med Primablomster og en rose fra Det Lille Ekstra. Nettopp for det lille ekstra;) Bladene er fra McGill pine needle punch.

The three holes in the paper, I made by punching them out, then put an old bookpaper under. I made a frame for each hole. And added flowers from Prima, and a rose from Det Lille Ekstra. The leafs are punched out with McGill Pine Needle Punch.

A Spoon Full of Sugar *24* Trina's sketch!!

This week the talented Trina made a great sketch for A Spoon Full of Sugar! Here is my card, and I have some closeups to show aswell;)

In the front you can open the paper. And inside is the text from Melissa Frances. The paper is from K&Company.
I have added a rose from Det lille ekstra. And some silver mesh.

The keyholes are from Li'l Davis Designs, and were send to me from dear Michelle.

The half-pearls are from Kort&Godt. And I have coloured this cute Tilda with Distress Ink Refillers. A combinations with faded jeans and black soot. Antique linen for hair, and tattered rose for the skin. Behind the keyholes I have stamped the Grunge Scroll from Stempelglede.
